With over 20 years of software development experience, Volker has seen PHP grow and mature from PHP 3, working on long-living custom applications in high-traffic environments. From social networks to medical data processing, he has worked as an engineer, team lead, and Head of Engineering, mostly focusing on PHP, Go, C, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and System Operations.
In his role as PHP 8.5 Release Manager, he's also contributing back to the ecosystem that has shaped his career.
